Coaching

Enneagram-based coaching helps professionals understand what’s really driving their patterns — so they can shift what’s been stuck, bring more awareness to their strengths, and show up at their best more of the time.

THE CASE FOR

Enneagram-Based Coaching

Here’s what I’ve noticed after 2,000+ individual consultations: when people understand what’s actually driving their patterns, the things they’ve been working on for years start to shift. Not because they learn something entirely new about themselves, but because they can finally work with the root of the pattern instead of around it.

A Loyalist who’s already the most thorough risk-thinker on the team can learn to move faster on decisions — once they understand why their mind keeps scanning for what could go wrong, even when the data is clear. A Challenger who already commands a room can learn to invite dissent instead of shutting it down — once they see that the directness that makes them effective is also the thing that keeps people from pushing back when they should.

The Enneagram maps the relationship between your strengths and your growth edges. In most cases, they’re two sides of the same coin. Coaching is about leveraging what’s already working while bringing awareness to the moments when those same strengths start to become liabilities.

The outcome is straightforward: people learn to work with their personality instead of being run by it, so they can operate at their best, more of the time.

THE ENGAGEMENT

How It Works

Coaching engagements begin with a two-day, in-person kickoff, followed by six months of ongoing coaching.

The Two-Day Kickoff

Day 1

A deep dive into the Enneagram, applied to the coachee’s work context — working relationships, communication patterns, and how they relate to the nine types.

Day 2

Translating insight into action. We shape stakeholder feedback, the coachee’s self-assessment, and insights from Day 1 into a focused Growth Plan built around their highest-priority growth edge.

Ongoing Coaching

Standing Sessions

One 50-minute session per month, anchored in the Growth Plan — checking in on what’s working, what’s not, and making adjustments and commitments for the month ahead.

On-Demand

Up to two additional sessions per month for real-time support when something comes up that would benefit from an Enneagram perspective.

Six-month engagements, with the option to renew.

Common Questions

Anyone in a professional context who wants to understand how their personality patterns are shaping their work and relationships — and who’s ready to use that understanding to grow. Most of my coaching clients are leaders and managers, but I also work with individual contributors whose organizations are investing in their development.

Most executive coaching is goal-oriented: define what you want to achieve, create an action plan, check in regularly. Enneagram-based coaching starts one level deeper — with the motivational patterns that shape how you work, communicate, and make decisions. The development plan we build is grounded in your specific type structure, which means the practices are targeted to your actual patterns, not generic advice.

Not necessarily. If you’ve already done Enneagram work — particularly if you’ve taken the Voyance Assessment and completed a Type Consultation — that gives us a head start. If you haven’t, we’ll establish your type as part of the process. Either way, the two-day kickoff goes far deeper than basic type identification.

The kickoff is two full days in person. After that, expect one 50-minute standing session per month, plus up to two 50-minute on-demand sessions per month as needed. Between sessions, the real work happens in the coachee’s day-to-day — applying the practices from the Growth Plan in the situations they’re already navigating.

Absolutely. Some clients come to coaching after their team has worked with the Enneagram and they want to go deeper individually. The reverse can work just as well — starting with coaching and later bringing me in to work with the team.

I work with a small number of coaching clients at any given time. My primary work is with teams and organizations, and I take on individual coaching when the fit is right.
